3D printing at your fingertips – Dental Technology Vocational School visits DMG

Just what exactly is dental 3D printing capable of nowadays? How exactly do you go about 3D-printing an occlusal splint in the digital workflow? Students attending the Neumünster State Vocational School for Dental Technology had the opportunity to see for themselves during their visit to DMG at the end of April.

The new technologies are also changing the dental technician’s job profile. And we at DMG are delighted to support young dental technicians here.

The students who visited us at the DMG Dental Training Centre found out a great deal of information about the digital workflows with DMG DentaMile and the diverse possibilities of dental 3D printing. Both in theory and, of course, in practice.

In the hands-on section, all the vocational students had the opportunity to design an occlusal splint themselves in the DentaMile connect software and then print it out on the 3Demax 3D printer. All the participants were allowed to take their self-made splint home with them at the end of the day.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the visit and are looking forward to a successful dental future together!
