We are therefore pleased to have just achieved a successful trademark and competition law settlement agreement with a Czech company with a similar corporate name.
“DMG Medical” has to change its corporate name
The company DMG Medical from the Czech Republic sells food supplements. Although it is not a direct competitor within the dental field, it operates in a business area that is inter alia protected for our word mark “DMG”.
After we filed a lawsuit against DMG Medical in the Czech Republic, we have now reached the following amicable legal settlement:
DMG Medical has undertaken to change its company name as part of a court settlement agreement. DMG Medical will re-brand itself and the entire structure in such a way that the designation “DMG” and/or similar designations or terms will disappear from their company name, their website domain(s) and the Czech commercial register. The company DMG Medical has one year as of the conclusion of the joint Agreement to implement these changes and complete the agreed transition.
Our customers can therefore continue to rest assured that wherever it says “DMG” in the medical-pharmaceutical field, it refers to our premium dental solutions from Hamburg.
